Key Highlights You Should Not Miss
- Supervisor Grade-I (29 posts) is reserved exclusively for women candidates. Note also that only candidates with higher qualifications in Home Science / Social Work / Sociology / Food Science & Nutrition are eligible.
- Assistant Statistical Officer (196 posts) is the single largest vacancy in this batch, followed by Group-I (163) and Executive Officer Grade-III (104).
- Only Group-I has a Screening Test. Every other notification goes directly to a single-level online CBRT exam — no elimination round, regardless of how many apply.
- Normalisation of marks will apply wherever exams are conducted in multiple sessions.
- Forest posts (FRO, FSO, FBO) carry physical standards and physical efficiency requirements — check the Detailed Notification before applying.
- AD-FSL posts require exceptionally good eyesight (colour blindness is a disqualification) and at least five years of practical experience in a Forensic Science / Chemistry / Analytical / Police Laboratory.
- Executive Officer Grade-III has an unusual Paper-II — Hindu Philosophy & Temple System, covering Ramayana, Mahabharata, Bhagavatham, Puranas, Agamas, Vedic culture and the Endowments Act.
- "CF" in the vacancy tables denotes Carried Forward vacancies from earlier recruitment cycles.
Preparation Tips
- General Studies & Mental Ability is common to almost every post — a single well-built GS foundation lets you apply for multiple notifications in this batch.
- Focus heavily on Andhra Pradesh-specific history, geography, economy and current affairs — AP appears in nearly every GS unit.
- Practise Data Analysis and Logical Reasoning (mean, median, mode, variance, tabulation, visual representation) — these are scoring topics.
- Because of the 1/3rd negative marking, avoid blind guessing; attempt only where you can eliminate at least two options.
- Take online CBRT mock tests — the exam is computer-based and speed on screen matters.
- Do not ignore the CPT. Practise MS Word formatting, mail merge, Excel formulas and conditional formatting, and PowerPoint transitions.
- For Forest and Horticulture posts, start the General English and General Telugu qualifying paper preparation early — failing it disqualifies you regardless of your main paper score.
