🎓 Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification
For Assistant / UDC (Post No. 1, 3 & 5)
- Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.32 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) from a recognised university.
- Graduation must have been completed within the stipulated duration of the course as prescribed by the university.
- Proficiency in the use of computers is mandatory.
For JPA / Stenographer (Post No. 2, 4 & 6)
- Graduation with minimum 60% marks / 6.32 CGPA + one-year experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer + minimum speed of 60 words per minute (w.p.m.) in English Stenography; OR
- Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with minimum 60% marks / 6.32 CGPA + one-year experience as Steno-Typist/Stenographer + 60 w.p.m. speed in English Stenography.
- Proficiency in the use of computers is mandatory.
- Note: Candidates holding DCP/DCCP diplomas with a BOAT Apprenticeship Training Certificate (under Apprenticeship Act 1961) will have this treated as equivalent to one year of Steno-Typist/Stenographer experience.
CGPA/Percentage Rule: Where a university mentions both CGPA and percentage, meeting at least one criterion is sufficient. Where only CGPA is mentioned, conversion to percentage for eligibility is not permitted, regardless of any conversion formula prescribed by the institution — the same applies in reverse for percentage-only mark sheets. Special rules also apply for Dual/Integrated Degree programmes (see official advertisement, Para 3).

📝 Selection Process
Stage 1: Written Test
- Single Objective-type paper of 150 minutes duration (with compensation time for PwBD candidates).
- Marking scheme: +1 for correct answer, −0.25 for wrong answer.
- Qualifying marks: 50% for UR category, 40% for reserved categories (against notified reserved vacancies).
- Conducted at 38 centres across India including Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and more.
- No TA is paid for attending the Written Test.
Stage 2: Skill Test
- Shortlisting ratio: 1:5 (maximum) of category-wise vacancies, with a minimum of 10 candidates.

Final Selection

In case of a tie, tie-breakers apply in order: (1) marks in General Intelligence & Reasoning (for Assistant/UDC) or English Language & Comprehension (for JPA/Steno), followed by (2) date of birth, with the older candidate ranked higher.
