A Common Recruitment Examination will be jointly conducted for AP Power Utilities — APGENCO, APTRANSCO, APEPDCL, APCPDCL & APSPDCL.

Important Notes: Candidates must be fully qualified and hold all certificates as on the date of notification. Degrees under Distance Mode from other State Universities (beyond AP) are NOT valid. Only degrees recognized by UGC and AICTE will be considered. Candidates claiming equivalent qualifications must produce an Equivalency Certificate from the Registrar/competent authority.

Service Bond Conditions

Important: Every selected candidate must execute a Service Bond on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper worth Rs.110/- at the time of joining duty.

Induction Training

All selected candidates must undergo mandatory Induction Training for 3 months at the Training Institute / Dr. NTTPS. Posting orders will be issued only after successful completion of induction training. Candidates do not have the right to seek transfers from their designated posting during the bond period.

No. A Common Recruitment Examination covers Electrical and Civil branches (shared with APTRANSCO, APEPDCL, APCPDCL, APSPDCL). Separate exams are held for Mechanical and Electronics branches (APGENCO only).

The minimum age is 18 years and maximum is 42 years (as on 01.07.2026). SC/ST/BC/EWS get 5 years relaxation (max 47 years), and PwBD candidates get 10 years relaxation (max 52 years).
Q4. What is the salary for APGENCO AEE during probation?
During probation (2 years), candidates receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs.75,000/-. After successful probation, the pay scale of Rs.86,245 - Rs.2,08,915/- (RPS-2022) plus various allowances is applicable.
Q5. Is there negative marking in the APGENCO AEE CBT?
No. There is no negative marking in the Computer Based Test. The exam is 100 marks with a 3-hour duration. Normalization will be applied for multi-shift exams.
Q6. Can Distance Education degree holders apply?
No. Degrees awarded under Distance Mode through study centers by other State Universities (beyond AP State) are NOT legally valid for this recruitment. Only degrees from UGC/AICTE recognized institutions are accepted.
Q7. What is the service bond period for APGENCO AEE?
The total bond period is 7 years (2 years probation + 5 years after probation). Breaking the bond during probation attracts a penalty of all emoluments + Rs.5 lakhs. Resigning after probation but before 5 years attracts Rs.10 lakhs penalty.
Q8. Can candidates change their utility/zone preference after submission?
No. The preferences exercised at the time of online application (including zone, utility) are final and cannot be changed under any circumstances after submission.
Q9. Is the fee refundable if I am not selected?
No. Application fee of Rs.1,000/- once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances.
Q10. Is there a waiting list in APGENCO AEE Recruitment 2026?
No waiting list will be maintained. If any post remains unfilled, it will be carried forward to future recruitment. The selection list is strictly at 1:1 ratio against notified vacancies.
