- Only degrees recognized by UGC and AICTE will be considered.

Exam Pattern- Computer Based Test (CBT)
The exam is a 100-mark Computer Based Test (CBT) of 3 hours duration, conducted in English only. There are no negative marks. The same pattern applies to all posts (Electrical / Civil / Telecom):

Selection Process
- Common CBT: A single exam covers all 5 utilities (APTRANSCO, APEPDCL, APCPDCL, APSPDCL, APGENCO). Candidates apply once and choose utility preferences.
- Normalization: Since CBT is held in multiple shifts, normalized marks will be used for merit list preparation (up to 5 decimal places).
- Tie-Breaking: Equal marks → older candidate preferred; further tie → earlier qualification date preferred.
- Allotment: Based on merit, rule of reservation, local candidature, and preferences exercised during application. Preferences, once submitted, are final and cannot be changed.
- No Waiting List: Unfilled vacancies will be carried forward to future recruitments.

Service Bond Conditions
- Selected candidates must execute a Service Bond on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper (Rs.110) at the time of joining.
- Bond obligation: Serve the utility for a minimum of 5 years after completion of 2-year probation (total bond period = 7 years).
- Original certificates (Degree, DOB, Community etc.) must be deposited with the utility during the bond period and will not be returned until it is completed.
- To access certificates temporarily during bond period: deposit Rs.1,00,000 as security (refunded after re-deposit of certificates).
- Breaking probation: Refund of all emoluments received + Rs.5,00,000 liquidated damages.
- Resigning after probation (before 5 years): Pay Rs.10,00,000 as liquidated damages.

- Complete Online Registration- You'll receive an OTP on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
- Pay the application fee of Rs.1,000/- through the Payment Gateway. Save the Journal Number.
- Log in using your credentials and fill the application form- educational details, category, utility preferences (order of preferences is final), etc.
- Upload the following documents (scanned, clear copies):

During the 2-year probation period, selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs.75,000/-. After successful completion of probation, the RPS-2022 regular pay scale applies starting at Rs.86,245/-.
Q6. Is there any reservation for women candidates?
Yes. There is a 33â…“% horizontal reservation for Women within respective vertical reservation categories. Additionally, 4% is reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
Q7. Is there negative marking in the CBT?
No. There are no negative marks in the Computer Based Test. The total is 100 marks with 3 hours duration.
Q8. Can candidates from other states apply?
Yes. However, candidates from states other than Andhra Pradesh will be considered under the General (unreserved / Open) category only and cannot claim local/reservation benefits.
Q9. What happens if I leave the job before completing the bond period?
If you leave during the 2-year probation: refund all emoluments + pay Rs.5 lakh. If you resign after probation but before completing 5 years of bond period: pay Rs.10 lakh as liquidated damages.
