Probation Period, Bond & Service Obligation

If a candidate resigns before completing the bond period, they must pay the bond amount to the bank. A surety of equal amount is also required before joining.

Career Path & Restrictions

  • Selected officers join the general cadre and are subject to Bank's general promotion policy.
  • They will NOT be eligible for inter-state transfers, Controlling Office (ZO/HO) postings, or special branch postings (CBB, Currency Chest, ARB, RCC etc.) until promotion to SMGS-IV Grade or completion of 12 years of service, whichever is earlier.
  • After 12 years of service or promotion to SMGS-IV, officers may be posted anywhere in India.
