IREL Tradesman Trainee 2026 – Selection Process
Selection will be made through the following stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks. Final merit is decided on CBT marks.
- Skill Test (Trade Test / Computer Proficiency Test): Candidates are called in a 1:5 ratio (as per trade requirement). The skill test is qualifying in nature; failing it rules out a candidate irrespective of the CBT score.
- Document Verification & Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates must produce original documents and be medically fit.
