Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years (max age not exceeding 56 years), Ex-Servicemen – 5 years, Central/UT Govt. Employees – up to 5 years, as per Government of India norms.
🎓 Eligibility – Educational Qualification & Experience
- Agricultural Engineer: Degree in Agricultural/Mechanical Engineering + 2 years' relevant experience in testing/evaluation or teaching related to agricultural machinery.
- Medical Officer/RO (Unani): Degree in Unani Medicine from a recognized university + enrolment on Central/State Register of Indian Medicine.
- Scientist 'B' (Botany/Environmental Science/Geology/Physics/Zoology): Master's Degree in the respective subject + 3 years' research experience after acquiring the qualification.
- Civilian Medical Officer: Recognized MBBS degree + completion of compulsory rotating internship.
- Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Immuno-Haematology & Blood Transfusion / Surgical Oncology): MBBS + relevant Postgraduate degree/diploma (MD/DNB/DM/MCh as applicable) + 3 years' teaching experience as Senior Resident/Tutor/Registrar/Assistant Professor after the first PG degree.
- Assistant Industrial Adviser: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Metallurgical/Electronics & Communication Engineering + 3 years' experience in steel works/rolling mills or iron & steel production/planning/R&D.
- Veterinary Assistant Surgeon: Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry + registration with Veterinary Council of India/State Veterinary Council.

🧠 Selection Process
Selection to the posts advertised under UPSC Advt No. 09/2026 will be made through:
- Interview — for posts where selection is by interview only; or
- Recruitment Test (RT) followed by Interview — where applicable.
Minimum Qualifying Marks in Interview (out of 100):
- UR – 50 marks
- OBC – 45 marks
- SC/ST/PwBD – 40 marks
Where a Recruitment Test is conducted, candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying level at both the RT and Interview stages. Shortlisting for interview may also be based on Desirable Qualifications, higher educational qualifications, or higher relevant experience than the minimum prescribed.

💵 Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Levels ranging from Level-7 to Level-11 as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, depending on the post, with applicable Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) for medical posts. Approximate gross pay (excluding allowances) ranges from around ₹44,900 (Level-7) to ₹67,700+ (Level-11) per month at entry stage, plus DA, HRA, and other admissible allowances as per Government norms.
