SSC GD Constable Eligibility Criteria
Only the candidates who fulfill the required eligibility criteria as mentioned by the commission are eligible to apply for SSC GD 2026 for Constable posts in BSF, CISF, CRPF, SSB, ITBP, AR, SSF, and NCB. The education qualification, age limit, and other criteria are mentioned below-SSC GD Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for GD Constable (BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSF, SSB, and riflemen) must have passed 10th class or equivalent from a recognized board.SSC GD Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)
Candidate is required to be between 18 to 23 years in order to be eligible for the SSC GD 2026 Exam. Age relaxation is given to candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the government rules.SSC GD Upper Age Relaxation
- OBC :3 years
- ST/SC :5 years
- Ex-Servicemen 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the date of reckoning.
- Children and dependent of victims KILLED in the 1984 riots OR communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat (GEN) 5 years
- Children and dependent of victims KILLED in the 1984 riots OR communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat (OBC) 8 years

How to Apply for the SSC GD 2026 Exam?
- Go to the official SSC website: ssc.gov.in.
- Once on the homepage, navigate to the "Apply" section and click on the "Apply" link.
- If you're a new user, you need to register yourself.
- Please provide the following details: your name, date of birth, email address, and mobile number.
- Upon successful registration, you'll receive a Registration ID and password. Note them down for future use.
- Use your Registration ID and password to log in. Find the link for the SSC GD 2026 Exam and click on "Apply".
- Fill in details like name, father's name, mother's name, category, gender, nationality, etc.
- Enter your educational details such as the name of the school/college, board/university, marks obtained, etc.
- Select your preferred exam centres from the list provided.
- Upload a recent passport-sized colour photograph and signature (usually in JPEG format and within the specified size).
- Pay the application fee using net banking, or debit/credit card.
