OICL Assistant 2025 Qualification
- A Candidate must possess the minimum qualification of Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
- The candidate should have passed in English as one of the subjects at SSC/HSC/Intermediate/Graduation level.
- Candidates should possess certificate in proof of passing the qualifying examination as on 31.07.2025.
- Knowledge of Reading, Writing and Speaking of Regional Language of the State/UT against the vacancies for which a candidate wishes to apply, is essential.
- To ascertain the candidate’s familiarity with the Regional Language of the State/UT, a language test will conducted before final selection.
- Candidates not found to be proficient in the Regional Language Test would be disqualified.

Steps to Apply Online for OICL Assistant 2025
Candidates must follow a two-step process: Online Registration and Fee Payment. The procedure is detailed below:A. Application Registration
1. Pre-requisites before applying:
Keep scanned images of a photograph (4.5cm x 3.5cm), signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration (text provided below).Use a valid and active email ID and mobile number for registration and future communication.
Signature must be in lowercase only, and handwritten declaration must be in English, in the applicant’s handwriting.
2. Text for Handwritten Declaration:
“I, ____(Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”3. Registration Process:
Visit the career section at https://www.orientalinsurance.org.in and click on “Apply Online”.Click on “Click Here for New Registration”, fill in personal details, and note down the provisional registration number and password.
Use “Save and Next” to save entries, upload required documents, and proceed to fee payment.
Verify all entries before hitting the “Final Submit” button.
B. Payment of Application Fee
Payment must be made online only via debit card, credit card, net banking, or UPI. Candidates must ensure a successful transaction and print the e-receipt as proof.SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Servicemen: ₹100 (Intimation Charges Only)
All Others: ₹850 (Including Intimation Fee)
C. Guidelines for Scanning and Uploading Documents
Photograph: Recent colored passport size, white background, 200×230 pixels, size: 20-50 KB.Signature & Left Thumb Impression: On white paper with black/blue ink, 140×60 pixels, size: 10-20 KB.
Handwritten Declaration: In English, black ink, size: 20–50 KB.
Make sure documents are in JPEG/JPG format. Any mismatch in the uploaded signature during the exam may lead to disqualification.

OICL Assistant Selection Process
Candidates applying for the OICL Assistant post will go through the following three stages:
Preliminary Exam (Tier 1)
- This is an online test with objective-type questions.
- It includes sections on English Language, Reasoning Ability, and Numerical Ability.
- It is qualifying in nature and used to shortlist candidates for the next round.
Main Exam (Tier 2)
- This is also an online objective test.
- It includes five sections: Reasoning, Numerical Ability, English, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge.
- Marks from this exam are considered for the final selection.
Regional Language Test
- Candidates must prove their knowledge of the local language of the state they have applied for.
- They must be able to read, write, and speak the language.
- This test is qualifying in nature but mandatory.
