Eligibility - Educational Qualification

Cut-off Date for Qualification: 06 June 2026

  • Regular Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University/Institute (equivalent qualifications recognized by Central Government also accepted).
  • Candidates must be proficient in the local language (Reading, Writing, Speaking & Understanding) of the State/UT applied for.
  • Must produce 8th/10th/12th or Graduation-level certificate evidencing local language study.

Important Disqualifications:

  • Post Graduates are NOT eligible.
  • Candidates with 1 year or more work experience are NOT eligible.
  • Candidates who completed their qualifying exam more than 5 years ago are NOT eligible.

Nationality / Citizenship

Candidates must be a Citizen of India. Subjects of Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan Refugees (who came before 01 Jan 1962), or persons of Indian origin who migrated from specific countries (Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, certain East African nations, Vietnam) with intent to permanently settle in India are also eligible, provided they hold a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Selection Process

There is no written examination for PSB Apprentice 2026. Selection is entirely merit-based:

Step 1: Merit List

Candidates ranked based on 10+2 / HSC marks in descending order (category, state & district-wise).

Step 2: Tie-Breaker

If two candidates have equal marks, the older candidate is ranked higher.

Step 3: Document Verification

Shortlisted candidates undergo original document verification & medical fitness check.

Pro Tip: Since selection is purely on 10+2 marks, candidates with higher HSC/Class 12 marks have a greater advantage. Ensure you apply for the correct state and district.

First register on apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and nats.education.gov.in with 100% completed profile. Note your Enrollment ID from NATS portal.

Keep Documents Ready

Aadhar, Govt ID proof, personal email, mobile number, passport-size photo (.jpg/.jpeg), scanned signature, thumb impression, handwritten declaration (PDF format).

You can apply for one state and one district only. Choose carefully -no changes are allowed after submission.
