Reservations & PwD / EWS Information

Q1. What is the last date to apply for CIL MT Recruitment 2026?
The last date for online submission is 11 June 2026 at 18:00 Hrs. Registration opens from 12 May 2026. Apply early- do not wait till the last date.
Q2. Is there an interview for CIL Management Trainee selection?
No Interview. Selection is based solely on marks obtained in the Computer Based Test (CBT). Final merit is prepared from CBT scores only.
Q3. Can final-year students apply for CIL MT 2026?
Yes. Students in the final semester/year/trimester of AY 2025-26 can apply if they expect their results by 31 August 2026. They must upload all available marksheets at the time of application.
Q4. Is 59.99% considered as 60% for CIL MT eligibility?
No. Rounding of percentage is strictly NOT acceptable. Only 60% and above will be considered eligible. Even 59.99% will not be treated as 60%.
Q5. What is the salary during training period in CIL?
Management Trainees receive a basic pay of Rs.60,000/- per month in E-1 Grade during the 1-year training-cum-probation period. After confirmation, additional allowances (DA, HRA, PRP, Cafeteria perks) are admissible.
Q6. Can I apply for more than one discipline in CIL MT 2026?
No. Each candidate can submit online application for one discipline only. If multiple applications are submitted, only the one with the higher Application Sequence Number will be considered.
Q7. Is there a service bond for CIL MT selected candidates?
Yes. Selected candidates must execute a Service Agreement Bond of Rs.3 Lakhs and serve for a minimum of 5 years (60 months). Rs.5,000/month is deducted and refunded without interest after completing 60 months.
Q8. What is the application fee for SC/ST candidates in CIL MT 2026?
NIL (Zero fee) for SC/ST/PwBD candidates and Employees of CIL and its Subsidiaries. General/OBC/EWS candidates pay Rs.1,180/- (Rs.1,000 + GST Rs.180), non-refundable.
Q9. What are the eligible branches for Mechanical discipline in CIL MT?
Mechanical Engineering, Mining Machinery, and Mechanical Engineering with any combination- provided the words "Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering" precede in the Nomenclature of Course on the UG Degree Certificate.
Q10. Is No Objection Certificate (NOC) required for Government employees?
Yes. Candidates working in Government / PSU / Autonomous bodies must upload NOC or a receipted copy of application to employer seeking NOC at the time of online application, or submit NOC at the time of DV/IME, or submit a proper relieving order at the time of joining.
