SSB Constable Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
Selection is conducted in 4 stages. Final merit is based solely on Written Examination (CBT) marks.

Stage I Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)
PET: Male 4.8 km in 24 min | Female 2.4 km in 18 min. Ex-servicemen exempted from PET.
PST: Minimum height & chest as per post/category (General Male: 167.5170 cm, Female: 157 cm). Non-meeting candidates rejected.

Stage II Written Examination (Computer Based Test CBT)
Duration: 2 hours | 100 Marks | 100 MCQs on General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning & General English/Hindi. Qualifying marks: 50% for UR/EWS/OBC/Ex-SM | 45% for SC/ST. Final merit based entirely on CBT.

Stage III Documentation & Skill Test
Call list of up to 20 times the vacancies (category-wise). Skill test: 50 marks, qualifying only (minimum 60%). Marks of Skill Test NOT included in final merit list.

Stage IV Detailed Medical Examination (DME) & Review Medical Examination (RME)
Up to 3 times the vacancies called for DME. Candidates declared unfit in DME may appeal for RME. Decision of RME Board is final and no 2nd appeal is entertained.
Important: Merely qualifying all tests does not confer any right to final appointment. The Selection Board reserves absolute discretion to reject or accept any candidate at any stage.

Fill Part-I Personal Details
Enter post name, candidate name, father's/husband's name, mother's name, DOB, gender, nationality, religion, marital status, category, Aadhaar number, mobile number, and valid email ID. All fields are mandatory.

Upload Photograph & Signature (Part-II)
Passport-size colour photo in JPG (12 KB4 KB, 100×120 px, white background, 75% face). Signature in JPG (12 KB4 KB, 140×60 px). Applications with blurred photos will be rejected.

Pay Examination Fee (Part-III)
Pay 100 via Net Banking / Credit / Debit Card / UPI (if applicable). SC/ST/Ex-SM/Women candidates are exempted. Note down registration number and take a printout of the Acknowledgement.

After submission, note your Registration/Application Number. Take printout of application form. No correction/changes will be entertained after final submission under any circumstances.

SSB Constable Recruitment 2026 Disqualification Criteria

| Document Forgery | Falsification leads to legal action, cancellation, and debarment from future examinations. |
| Canvassing | Candidates bringing outside pressure/influence/blackmailing will be disqualified. |
| IPC Criminal Cases | Candidates convicted/arrested under IPC or any Act of Central or State Government will not be considered. |
SSB Constable Recruitment 2026 Biometric Verification & Exam Rules
Biometrics of both thumbs (Left & Right) will be taken at all stages. Non-matching of biometrics from previously stored data may result in candidature being marked as suspected.
Prohibited at exam venue: Calculator, Digital Diary, Cellular Phone, Pager, Whiteners, Blade etc. are strictly prohibited. Violation leads to disqualification.
TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid to candidates. Candidates must arrange their own stay for at least one week at the venue. Exception: Unemployed SC/ST candidates appearing in written test will be reimbursed fare under relevant rules on production of Rail/Bus tickets, original caste certificate & Non-employment certificate from MP/MLA or Gazetted Officer.
