ECIL Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
ECIL Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification & Experience:
Technician/Supervisor: ITI in relevant trade OR Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Production/Electrical) with minimum 60% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST). Post-qualification experience of 3-5 years in the specific trade is mandatory.Project Engineer: B.E./B.Tech. in CSE/IT/ECE/EEE with minimum 60% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST). Minimum 3 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant technology field is required.
ECIL Recruitment 2026 Age Limit (as on 31.12.2025)
- Maximum Age for UR Category: 35 years
- Age Relaxation for OBC: 3 years (up to 38 years)
- Age Relaxation for SC/ST: 5 years (up to 40 years)
- Age Relaxation for PwBD: 10 years in addition to the relaxation applicable to the categories mentioned above (minimum 40% disability or more)
- Age Relaxation for J&K Domicile: 5 years for candidates who had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989

The selection methodology is rigorous and differs for the two post categories:A. For Technician & Supervisor Posts:
Initial Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:4 ratio based on their aggregate percentage in ITI/Diploma (category-wise).Final Selection: Shortlisted candidates will be called to Hyderabad for:
- Document Verification
- Written Test (40 Marks)
- Skill/Trade Test & Viva-Voce (40 Marks)
B. For Project Engineer Posts:
Initial Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:4 ratio based on their aggregate percentage in B.E./B.Tech (category-wise).Final Selection: Shortlisted candidates will be called to Hyderabad for:Document Verification
Personal Interview (50 Marks)
Final Merit: Calculated as: (A) Qualification (20% of degree marks) + (B) Relevant Experience (Max 30 Marks) + (C) Personal Interview (50 Marks)
