CSL ITI Workmen Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for these positions, candidates must meet the following general requirements:Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must undergo a medical examination and be certified fit by the CSL Medical Officer.
PwBD Exclusion: Due to the hazardous nature of operations at CSL, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are not eligible for these posts.
CSL ITI Workmen Recruitment 2026 Age Limit and Exemptions
Age calculation is based on the closing date of the application.Upper Age Limit: 35 years as on January 23, 2026 (Candidates should be born on or after January 24, 1991).
Age Relaxations:
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation.
SC/ST: 5 years relaxation.
Ex-servicemen: Relaxable as per Government of India guidelines, up to a maximum age of 45 years.
CSL ITI Workmen Recruitment 2026 Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must possess both educational qualifications and relevant work experience.Education: Pass in SSLC.
ITI (National Trade Certificate) in the relevant trade.
All India National Trade Test (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in the relevant trade.
Experience: Minimum five years of post-qualification experience in the respective field as on January 23, 2026. Apprenticeship training in the relevant trade is counted as experience.
CSL ITI Workmen Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection method is divided into two distinct phases to test both knowledge and skill:Phase I: Objective Type Online Test (30 Marks)
Duration: 35 minutes.
Structure: General Knowledge (5 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (5 marks), and Trade-related questions (20 marks).
Note: There is no negative marking.
Phase II: Practical Test (70 Marks)
Conducted at CSL Kochi for shortlisted candidates in their respective trades.
Minimum Pass Marks: Unreserved/EWS - 50%, OBC - 45%, and SC/ST - 40% in each test.
CSL ITI Workmen Recruitment 2026 Salary and Benefits
The selected candidates will be placed in the W6 Pay Scale.Pay Scale: ₹22,500 – ₹73,750.
Total Monthly Emoluments: Approximately ₹41,795 as of current rates (includes Basic Pay, DA, HRA, and other allowances).
Additional Benefits: NPS, Provident Fund, Gratuity, Medical Assistance, Accident Insurance, and Leave Encashment.
CSL ITI Workmen Recruitment 2026 Application Fee
A non-refundable application fee is required for certain categories:General/OBC/EWS: ₹700 (plus bank charges).
