The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Northern Railway has released the much-awaited Act Apprentice Notification for the year 2025-26. A total of 4116 vacancies have been announced for training under the Apprentices Act 1961 in various Divisions/Units/Workshops of Northern Railway.
Eligible candidates who have passed 10th class with minimum 50% marks and possess ITI certificate in relevant trades can apply online through the official RRC Northern Railway portal rrcnr.org or RRC NR Apprenticeship Portal (appr.rrcnr.net.in). The online application process will commence from 25th November 2025 and the last date to submit the application is 24th December 2025 (23:59 Hours).

RRC NR Act Apprentice 2025 Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have passed Matriculation/10th Class (minimum 50% marks) under the 10+2 examination system from a recognized board and must have passed ITI in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT recognized by the Government of India. Applicants awaiting results are NOT eligible to apply.
2. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 15 years (as on 24.12.2025)
- Maximum Age: 24 years (as on 24.12.2025)
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD, up to additional 10 years for Ex-Servicemen as per rules.
- Age calculation date: 24.12.2025
3. Nationality
- Candidates must be Indian citizens as specified in the official notification.

- Merit-based selection on the average of percentage marks obtained in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examination, giving equal weightage
